Kelly Ripa captioned the image: "Even though it’s 2020, she got dressed in her fancy red skirt and ready for the return of a certain someone...," alluding to the fact she has been living apart from her husband Mark and they are due to be reunited soon.

Mark then commented on the post, saying: "Can’t wait to meet her." Her loyal following of 2.8million followers was quick to spot Mark's sweet comment. One replied: "Awww you guys," and another wrote: "Can't wait for the reunion."

Her department-store-worthy tree stands in her living room, almost touching the high ceilings. It is adorned with hundreds of twinkling lights and lots of traditional decorations. The 'red skirt' Kelly speaks of is the velvet cover that hides the base of the tree – it adds another hint of luxury to her already show-stopping tree.

The rest of Kelly's living room is kept very minimal and muted, letting the festive decorations do the talking. As well as their immaculate New York home, the couple have a place in The Hamptons where they usually spend a lot of time.

Mark Consuelos shared a throwback to last Christmas as he counts down to seeing Kelly again

They have been living separately while Mark films Riverdale in Vancouver and Kelly works in New York. They haven't been able to travel to see one another due to the COVID-19 restrictions and that’s meant they've missed a couple of milestones - Kelly turned 50 at the beginning of October and they had to celebrate virtually.

During this time apart, the couple are constantly commenting on one another's Instagram posts, to declare how much they miss each other.
