Karen Spencer, 50, the wife of Earl Charles Spencer has shared a surprising recommendation for a future garden addition at Althorp House, the former childhood home of Princess Diana.

Taking to Instagram Stories, the Lady of the House revealed that she has been sent a suggestion to get a trampoline for her sheep. Karen wrote: "Someone sent me this as an idea for lucky and minty," alongside the video of a sheep learning how to bounce on a trampoline.

The hilarious video has gone viral, and we can see why people may think of the Spencers as they often show off their adorable pet sheep roaming the grounds.

Karen and Charles' animal brood has been rapidly expanding, and Karen gave an insight into farming life online, writing: "Shifting just under 3000 acres to organic and adding grazing livestock is a big undertaking, but the growing team here at Spencer Farms have been amazing.

"It's going to be a very busy few months with our 54 pregnant cows all due to calve between the 25th of March and the 1st of May. I CAN NOT WAIT!"

Althorp is also famed for its poignant Oval Lake where the late Princess Diana is buried.

WOW: Charles Spencer hasn't aged a day in incredible throwback photo!

Diana's final resting place is only accessible via boat, as it's on an island in the centre of the lake. In Prince Harry's tell-all book Spare, he detailed how he and his wife Meghan Markle took the boat trip to pay their respects to his late mother, with Charles Spencer lending a hand when the boat got stuck.

Visitors to Althorp, when the property is open in the summer months, are unable to access Diana's gravesite on the island. However, there is an onsite memorial area for the former Princess of Wales – a temple where people like to leave their personal tributes.

Members of the public can also tour inside the home, but photography is forbidden inside the walls of the stately residence.
