Princess Eugenie's baby girl is only two days old, but she already shares a very sweet connection to three members of the royal family, including her auntie.
Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank announced the birth of their third child, a daughter, this week with the cutest photo of their little one in a pink knitted romper with an angel wing on the back. "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!!" Eugenie gushed on Instagram, adding that they were "beyond in love with our girlie."
The newest member of the royal family was born on Monday 3 August in Lisbon, Portugal, making her a Leo baby, a star sign famous for being bold, charismatic and natural-born leaders. Eugenie's daughter, who will be 15th in line to the throne, shares that in common with her aunt Princess Beatrice, Meghan Markle and Princess Anne, who are all confident Leos.
Royal Leos
Leos exude warmth and an innate sense of confidence while being naturally bold and passionate. Ruled by the sun and symbolised by the majestic lion, they're theatrical, fiercely loyal and big-hearted with a dramatic flair for life.
Those born from 23 July to 22 August all qualify as Leos, which includes the Duchess of Sussex, who celebrated her 45th birthday on 3 August, Beatrice, who turns 37 on 8 August, and the Princess Royal, who will be 76 on 15 August.
The late Queen Mother, who was born 4 August, and Princess Margaret, born 21 August, were also notable Leos in the royal family.
After Meghan reflected on her horoscope in April, noting a "difficult seven years", an astrologer spoke to HELLO! about what is in store for the horoscope this year. Astrologer and psychic Inbaal Honigman shared that Leos will "enjoy a lot of good fortune" as Jupiter, the planet of luck, goes into Leo in the middle of 2026.
"This lucky planet will walk with her for 12 months, meaning that Meghan, and other Leos, will enjoy a lot of good fortune," she said, although there could be a disruption when the next Venus retrograde takes place from July 2031.
Why Eugenie hasn't shared her baby name
Eugenie shared a first photo of her baby girl on 4 August, but the announcement unusually did not include her name. HELLO! understands that Eugenie, 36, and Jack, 40, are taking their time choosing a name for their new arrival and will announce it when they feel the time is right.
The couple already share two sons with adorable names: August, five, and Ernest, three. Like his newborn sister, August's name was also not announced right away when he born born in 2021. Eugenie didn't reveal her first-born son's name until 11 days later.
"Her Royal Highness and her daughter are doing well. Princess Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank are deeply grateful to the hospital staff for their care," Buckingham Palace shared in an official statement on Tuesday.
The Palace added that King Charles, Queen Camilla, and "other members of the Royal Family" have been informed and are "delighted" by the news.
