The Duchess of Edinburgh looked fabulous in a country chic ensemble during a visit to Whin's Farm near Kendal on Tuesday.
The 61-year-old royal braved the wind and the rain as she opened the first farm in the Addington Fund's New Entrant Scheme during her two-day visit to Cumbria.

Looking impeccable as ever, Duchess Sophie's fashion choices also took centre stage. Battling the elements as she chatted to members of the local community on the hillside, Sophie was dressed for the occasion in a smart tweed jacket and flattering chocolate flares.
She opted for a pair of sensible, weather-proof Timberland boots and layered up with an extra jacket for added warmth over her white shirt.
A gold-buckled belt cinched in the trousers at the waist, adding extra definition to the look. Sophie's new bob was the star of the show, looking tousled following a blustery morning and plenty of showers.

Prince Edward's wife is visiting Cumbria to lead a two-day royal tour focused on the rural economy, sustainable agriculture, and supporting young talent in farming.
As Patron of the Addington Fund, she officially opened Whins Farm near Kendal, marking the launch of the charity's New Entrant Scheme designed to give first-generation farmers a vital foot on the ladder and safeguard the future of small-scale hill farms.

The royal met growers, volunteers, and local organisers to learn about community-led approaches to sustainable agriculture and efforts aimed at widening regional access to fresh, locally grown produce.
The royal visit also involved meetings with representatives from the Royal Countryside Fund, the West Lakeland Farmer-Led Nature Recovery initiative, and the Penrith Young Farmers, who are celebrating their 90th anniversary.
Her Cumbrian tour concludes tomorrow with visits to traditional upland farming businesses in Borrowdale, near Keswick.

Since entering her 60s, the Duchess of Edinburgh has been having more fun with her fashion – not to mention her hairstyles!
Debuting a new bob after decades of below-the-shoulder hair, Sophie stepped out at the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival at Lannock Farm over the summer, showcasing a fresh new blunt bob.
"Duchess Sophie's new bob is a beautiful evolution of the polished '90s bob," Elliot Bute, hairstylist at Hershesons Fitzrovia, told HELLO! at the time.
