Exclusive: Natalie Anderson gives birth to son

Emmerdale actress Natalie Anderson has announced exclusively to HELLO! that she has given birth to a baby boy.

The TV star – who has previously had roles in Holby City and Wire in the Blood – became a mum on August 1 at 3.56am. 

The baby weighed 6lb 5oz and was born only a few days before her due date of August 4.

Bradford-born Natalie told HELLO!: "We have a beautiful baby boy born this morning and we are all doing really well."

The 30-year-old, who plays Emmerdale's feisty Alicia Gallagher, and her husband James Shepherd, a financial services consultant, have yet to choose a name for their son.

The couple married on June 6, 2008 in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
