I'd rather be run over by a train than marry again, says Madonna

Thursday October 1, 2009

Speaking on David Letterman's chat show in New York this week, the queen of pop ruled out marrying again.

When the famous interviewer asked Madonna if she could see herself walking up the aisle in the future, her reply was unequivocal.

"I think I'd rather be run over by a train," responded the 51-year-old, who divorced filmmaker Guy Ritchie in December 2008.

Recent reports had suggested she was ready to commit to her companion, 22-year-old Brazilian Jesus Luz.

During her appearance, the mother of four - who's known for her strict exercise and diet regime - also dispelled the myth that she never indulges in wicked treats.

At the invitation of her host - who'd found out that she'd never eaten traditional New York pizza - the Material Girl tucked in to a slice topped with tomato and olives during filming.

She washed it down with a Martini at an Italian restaurant next door to the studio.
