Sarah Palin's book tops best-seller list before hitting shops

Going Rogue: An American Life – the autobiography by Sarah Palin – has taken the number one spots on Amazon and Barnes & Nobles' websites thanks to advanced sales.

The memoir from the former Republican vice-presidential candidate is already the best selling book despite the fact it does not go on sale for a month and a half – on November 17.

The book's title, Going Rogue, is a reference to allegations that Sarah was something of a loose canon while partnering John McCain in last year's presidential elections.

After resigning as Alaska's governor in July this year, the mum-of-five has been working full-time for nearly four months to finish the book.

She even moved her family to San Diego, California for the month of August so she could be closer to her collaborator, Lynn Vincent.
