Madeleine's charity work is strength through rough patch

It’s been a difficult year for Princess Madeleine having broken off her engagement with Jonas Bergstrom after discovering her fiancé’s infidelities.

Bouncing back and overcoming the pain of the end of her eight-year relationship, the young royal has focused her energy and attention on charity work, a subject near and dear to her heart.

Looking radiant in an olive-green gown, she attended the World Childhood Foundation’s charity dinner in Cape Town, South Africa.

The foundation was established by Madeleine’s mother, Queen Silvia in 1999 and is aimed at supporting children at risk around the world.

The princess will be in the African nation for a four day visit with the organisation which will include filming a documentary.
