Cheryl Cole and ex Ashley are granted divorce
Cheryl Cole's four-year marriage to estranged husband Ashley is over.
On Friday morning, the couple were granted a decree nisi by District Judge Christopher Simmonds on the grounds of the footballer's admitted unreasonable behaviour.
Cheryl and Ashley's divorce petition was listed under their initials to avoid publicity – neither were present at the High Court in central London.
The 27-year-old singer split up with footballer Ashley, 29, in February after a number of claims of infidelity.
They met in 2004 when they both lived in the same apartment block, and got engaged and married the following year after he proposed in Dubai.
