Gillian Taylforth joins cast of Hollyoaks
Former EastEnders actress Gillian Taylforth is returning to soapland after landing a role in Hollyoaks.
The actress - best known for playing Albert Square's Kathy Beale - will play Sandy Roscoe, mum to five boys who are set to move into the village.
Gillian - whose EastEnders character was killed off in 2006 - was recently seen on the small screen competing in this year's Celebrity Big Brother.
Meanwhile, Hollyoaks hellraiser Clare Devine (played by Gemma Bissix) is also making a return to the Channel 4 soap later this year.
More details of blonde bombshell Clare's return are set to be revealed in coming weeks and the Hollyoaks website teased: "You can be sure of one thing - she won't just be popping by for a social visit..."
