It's no secret that Gwyneth Paltrow is Chris Martin's biggest fan.

Just this week, the 38-year-old beauty revealed that she loves to play Coldplay CDs while her husband is away.

And she has publically described her spouse as a "musical genius", likening their relationship to "living with Picasso".

This week it was Chris' turn to show his support for his Oscar-winning wife.

Fiercely protective of their private life, the couple are rarely seen together in public.

But the 34-year-old vocalist made an exception on Wednesday evening when he stepped out for a dinner honouring the actress.

While they were not photographed together, they were spotted leaving the venue within minutes of each other.

Gywneth – recently returned from the Venice Film Festival – looked stunning in a citrus orange Lanvin cocktail dress.

Her husband went for a more laid-back approach in a hooded jumper, dark T-shirt and trousers.
