So John Cleese could be forgiven for being put off the idea of marrying again.

But the 70-year-old British actor had a surprising admission for fans this week – he would consider a fourth marriage.

"Yes I think so," he told Daybreak's Kate Garraway when she asked him about the subject.

"But not until it would cease to shock and alarm my friends who'd form a little gang and say they're going to come and knee-cap me if I mention the "M" word."

John - who has been dating 39-year-old Jennifer Wade for four months - would do something slightly different next time.

When asked if he would ask for a prenuptial agreement next time, he answered: "Maybe a pre-nup I think, I think so."
