Another week, another X Factor 'scandal'.
On Sunday, Treyc Cohen became the seventh act to leave the competition as Katie Waissel survived her third sing-off.
But 26-year-old Treyc's elimination was surrounded in controversy after Cheryl Cole, mentor for both girls, refused to choose between them.
Katie and Treyc found themselves in the bottom two after Saturday's performances, having secured the lowest number of viewers' votes.
But the Girls Aloud singer told Dermot O'Leary she wouldn't send either of her girls home, leaving the fate in the hands of the other three judges, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue.
And Simon and Louis voted to save Katie, despite saying she was the weaker singer.
Fans of Treyc – many of whom feel Cheryl should have been forced to vote - have been left feeling cheated by the decision, particularly since Katie stumbled over the lyrics of her 'survival song', Please Don't Give Up On Me.
Nevertheless, the contestant herself was gracious in defeat.
"I've had the best time, I've met some great people," Treyc said. "I've made some good lifelong friends."
