When Katy Perry paid tribute to her new boyfriend with a sexy corset set in the colours of West Ham United, it caused quite a stir.

And it seems her MTV Awards outfit is fixed in the memory of one lady in particular.

As a special treat for guest star Russell Brand on Loose Women this week, Denise Welch flaunted her own footie-style underwear.

As the British funnyman sat down with a mug of tea to discuss his new relationship, he was soon left speechless as the 51-year-old pulled up her jumper.

It seems the comedian's new romance is going well, with the couple constantly updating their Twitter pages to share their news.

When Katy missed a West Ham game at the weekend because she was at home in LA, she recorded a cover of the team's song I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles and posted it with a message for Russell.

"For my baby who's at the game without me, I'm there in spirit."
