Actress Kelsey-Beth Crossley to leave 'Emmerdale'

Kelsey-Beth Crossley is leaving Emmerdale.

The 18-year-old actress has spent the last four years playing Scarlett Nicholls, but has decided it's time to move on.

The star revealed via her Twitter page that she was waiting to hear if she'd successfully auditioned for a new role, saying: "The most stressful part of auditions is waiting for a verdict!"

When fans asked if that meant she was moving on from the Dales-set soap, she confirmed that was the case, and thanked those who wished her well for the future: "Thanks guys, had to announce because I didn't know how to reply to the tweets asking about storylines. Love you all and the support xxxxxx."

Kelsey-Beth isn't the only Emmerdale star to announce they are quitting. During the past month, Suzanne Shaw (Eve Jenson) and Frank Kelly (Dermot Macey) have also revealed their plans to leave.
