They erected their first presidential Christmas tree last week, and now the Obama family are getting on with the next seasonal tradition.
Personally signed by President Barack and first lady Michelle, the couple's first Christmas card has been released.
"May your family have a joyous holiday season and a new year blessed with hope and happiness," the card reads.
The cover, which is cream-colored with a thin maroon border, depicts a gold wreath encircling a gold presidential coat of arms.
Moving away from a style favoured by the previous president, George W Bush, there is no biblical passage or mention of Christmas in the greeting.
