Police called after George Michael leaves house open

Police were called to George Michael's North London home in the middle of the night after the singer apparently forgot to close his front door after leaving his house.

The Careless Whisper star was found safe and well by officers in a nearby property after a brief search of the area.

A private security guard confirmed the door to George's £5 million mansion was left ajar and that a 999 call had been made by a passer-by to report the incident.

In 2002, George was robbed of over £200,000 worth of valuables when burglars invaded his London property, using his Aston Martin as a getaway car.
