Bill Gates no longer world's richest man
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates can no longer lay claim to the title of world's richest man.
According to the Forbes Rich List the computer software mogul was beaten into second place by relatively unknown Mexican telecom businessman, Carlos Slim Helu.
His fortune of $53.5bn puts him $500m ahead of Bill Gates, and as a result he becomes the first non-US citizen to take the top spot in 16 years.
The youngest billionaire on the list is Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg. The 25-year-old new Yorker is estimated to be worth $4 billion.
