More bad luck for Rowan Atkinson as car catches fire

He's suffered plenty of bad luck in his role as clumsy Mr Bean (pictured), and it's a case of life imitating art for actor Rowan Atkinson.

The actor's vintage racing car burst into flames while it was parked in a London street this week.

"All the paparazzi were waiting outside Cipriani restaurant for Robert Downey Jr to come out when the engine caught on fire just down the street," a witness reveals.

"Rowan lifted up the hood and tried to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher, but ended up having to call for roadside assistance."

The actor was later spotted taking luggage out of the Jaguar as he waited for a tow-truck.

And it's not the first time he's had a spot of bother with his car collection.

He was left with cuts and bruises in August after driving his Audi convertible into a garbage truck outside his home in Northamptonshire. 

He's also had accidents in his £100,000 Aston Martin V8 Zagato and in his £625,000 McLaren F1.
