No more Spider-Man for Tobey Maguire
US actor Tobey Maguire will not be returning for a fourth film in the hit Spider-Man series, it has been revealed.
While there are plans to make a new film for 2012, Sony Pictures has announced it will include a new cast, director and story.
The film is said to focus on the superhero's alter-ego, Peter Parker, in high school.
"I am so proud of what we accomplished with the Spider-Man franchise over the last decade," says actor Tobey.
"Beyond the films themselves, I have formed some deep and lasting friendships. I am excited to see the next chapter unfold in this incredible story."
