Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans picked up two gongs - music radio personality of the year and the entertainment award – at this year's Sony Radio Academy Awards on Monday.
The 43-year-old presenter, who was also hosting the ceremony, beat Scott Mills, Zane Lowe and Lauren Laverne to secure the personality trophy, a feat the Warrington-born talent admitted surprised him.
"I did not know I would win this one," Chris said after he was presented with the award by Ashes To Ashes actor Philip Glenister. "I had no idea absolutely!"
Other winners on the night included Vanessa Feltz , crowned speech radio personality of the year, who told the audience: "I'm absolutely totally utterly thrilled…radio is such a laugh isn't it?".
BBC Radio 3 was named UK station of the year for the first time, while 5 Live Breakfast beat last year's winner Chris Moyles to the breakfast show award
