Chris Evans needn't have worried about his return to mainstream entertainment when he took over Terry Wogan's breakfast radio show.
The presenter has pulled in so many viewers that he has been offered a job on BBC1's The One Show.
Joining former Strictly star Christine Bleakley, new dad Chris will be taking over from Adrian Chiles every Friday.
The news comes more than a decade after Chris resigned from Radio 1 after the station refused to let him have Fridays off.
The One Show move has been seen as an attempt by BBC bosses to rekindle the presenter's previous popularity on Channel 4's TFI Friday in the Nineties.
