Ashes To Ashes star Philip Glenister says he would love to appear on the West End stage once the third and final series of Eighties-set drama Ashes To Ashes has been filmed.
"I'd like to do a new play, probably at the National," said the 46-year-old actor, who plays DCI Gene Hunt in the show. "I'd like it there because they do it in repertory so you're not working every night and you get a bit of time off, too," he added.
"My problem is my boredom threshold's very low. So I love the rehearsal process, but once I'm up and running I can find it a bit repetitive," admitted Philip, who recently revealed he'd love to star in a "British version of Magnum".
Fans of teh actor's tough, no-nonsense police officer character needn't worry that he's turning soft, however. "I don't think you'll be seeing me in a musical like Hairspray any time soon," says the Londoner
