It has been a good couple of months for House star Hugh Laurie.
First, he was nominated for his fifth Emmy at the beginning of July.
Then the news came that he will record a blues album, which will catapult his vocal talents into the spotlight.
And now it has been revealed by TV Guide Magazine that he is the highest-paid actor in US drama, pocketing £225,000 per episode of US series House.
The programme regularly attracts 18 million viewers in the US, who switch on to watch Hugh - winner of two Golden Globes - play the disgruntled Dr House.
However, the 51-year-old actor still has a long way to go before becoming one of the highest-paid males in Hollywood. In the comedy sector, Charlie Sheen earns a reported £800,000 for each episode of Two and a Half Men.
