Cracking entrance: Lady Gaga takes egg up red carpet
Talk about making an entrance. Queen of quirky, Lady Gaga, outdid herself at the Grammy Awards 2011 by arriving inside a giant egg.
The flamboyant singer was carried up the red carpet on a sedan chair inside the curious vessel, which was fitted with an oxygen tank and a fan.
Her assistants explained she was incubating ahead of a preview performance of her new track Born This Way.
She 'hatched' out of the egg on stage to give a typically high octane performance wearing a yellow latex outfit and matching hat.
The 24-year-old had a storming night, picking up three awards - including best pop vocal album for The Fame Monster.
