No crocodile tears for Arnie as he meets Big Al
This was one voter Arnold Schwarzenegger would have thought twice about before shaking his hand.
Big Al the alligator looked like the feeling was mutual as he met the Governor of California at the State Fair in Sacramento.
Tthe Hollywood star-turned-politician seemed fascinated by the 20-year-old reptile, whom he got to hold during a tour.
Back in his acting days, Arnold obliterated a pack of man-eating alligators in 1996 action film Eraser.
Al seemed not to hold that against him though – certainly there were no sign of any crocodile tears.
