'It hits me at night': Liam on grief for Natasha

Liam Neeson admits that two years after his wife's tragic death, he is still finding it difficult to cope with his loss.

Actress Natasha Richardson, the mother of his two teenage sons, died following a freak ski-ing accident in Canada.

The 58-year-old movie star says immersing himself in his career as an escape mechanism hadn't worked.

"That's the weird thing about grief," he told Esquire magazine.

"You can't prepare for it. You think you're gonna cry and get it over with. You make those plans, but they never work.

"It hits you in the middle of the night".
