Comedian and actor Chris O'Dowd relished the opportunity to star in a musical.
Appearing in The Sapphires, the Irish star plays the first ever all-Aboriginal girl group's manager in the production, starring alongside Jessica Mauboy, Deborah Mailman, Shariall Sebbens and Miranda Tapsell.
Chris, who married journalist Dawn Porter in August, attended the BFI premiere of the film with his wife, and said that he didn't mind being the only man in a a film full of women.
He said: "Four beautiful women is my go-to place. I grew up with a house full of women so I felt very comfortable."
"They're very fun and very giving. There was no ego on this film, which was nice."
