Triumph for Michael Douglas as ex-wife's court case thrown out

It's been a tough time for Michael Douglas recently, following his battle with stage four throat cancer.

However, things seem to be on the up as a judge threw out a court case on Monday that Michael's ex-wife Diandra filed against him.

The 52-year-old was claiming half the earnings from Michael's new film Money Never Sleeps.

However, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Matthew Cooper ruled that a New York court was not the proper venue for the suit and as a result dismissed her complaint.

Meanwhile 66-year-old Michael, who has been married to Catherine Zeta-Jones for a decade, has remained positive about his ability to beat his cancer, saying recently: "The tumour is shrinking and the odds are good."
