For many Tinsletown stars, using their celebrity status to bring worthwhile causes into public awareness is an important part of their job. And that’s what Sharon Stone, Billy Zane and Danny Glover (not pictured) were doing this week at a press conference to announce the African First Ladies' Health Summit and Gala.
The famous trio – all of whom have worked with charities in Africa – are set to help host the Los Angeles event on April 20 and 21. The meeting will bring together the first ladies of Kenya, Angola, Zambia, and 12 other African countries, to promote their hard work improving the health and education of women across the continent.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown's wife Sarah, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's spouse Maria Shriver will also be at the two-day conference.
