William and Harry travel to village on horseback

Thursday June 17, 2010

It may have been a royal procession of a different kind, but princes William and Harry were certainly given an honourable welcome to the village of Semongkong, in Lesotho, Africa.

On Wednesday, the royal brothers, wearing traditional tribal blankets and riding bay ponies, were cheered as they arrived to visit the impoverished children who are aided by Harry's charity, Sentebale.

During the visit, the caring brothers laughed and joked with the children, sitting among them and helping some bundle up in warm clothes.

Accompanied by Lesotho's Prince Seeiso, Wiilliam and Harry also spent time with the older herd boys who dangerously tend sheep and cattle away from their homes, but whom are offered an education through Sentebale.

The princes are currently on a six-day tour of Africa, which ends with a trip to support England at the World Cup.
