Johnny Depp goes gothic for Tim Burton's exhibition

As a close friend who has starred in many of Tim Burton's films, it was only natural Johnny Depp would be invited to the New York exhibition honouring his work.

Dressed in black from head to toe and wearing purple tinted glasses, the Hollywood heart-throb was suitably attired for the gothic-loving director's big night.

Tim, (second right) accompanied by his partner Helena Bonham Carter, was the guest of honour at the opening of the Museum Of Modern Art exhibition.

It features 700 items of the director's paintings, photographs and storyboards and will also screen 14 of his films until its closure, next April.

Other guests at the inauguration included Danny DeVito (far right), New Moon star Ashley Green, Brooke Shields and Damages actress Rose Byrne.
