Katy Perry and Russell Brand defend their marriage

Katy Perry and Russell Brand have hit out at reports their marriage is on the rocks.

The couple - who wed in India last October - have been the subject of speculation they are set to split as they have been spending so much time apart.

But Katy, 26, tweeted: "Just 'cause we don't flaunt our relationship doesn't mean there's something wrong w/it. Privacy is our luxury."

Russell, 36, supported his wife, adding: "You tell em Mrs Brand!"

Katy has been on her California Dreams world tour since February while Russell is currently filming Rock Of Ages with Tom Cruise in Miami.
