Queen to address Parliament to mark Diamond Jubilee

The Queen will be responding to tributes in Parliament on Tuesday to mark her glorious 60-year reign.

Accompanied by Duke of Edinburgh, the monarch will also unveil a stain glass window in celebration of her Diamond Jubilee.

'Humble addresses' will be offered by Lords Speaker, Baroness De Souza, and Commons Speaker John Bercow in a tradition dating back to the 16th century.

The ceremony will take place in Westminster Hall, previously used to celebrate Her Majesty's Silver and Golden Jubilees.

In recent years, Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama and the Pope have both addressed Parliament in the hall.
