Kylie Minogue has a new re-invention – as a radio presenter.
The pop princess is hosting a homage to jazz legend Blossom Dearie to be broadcast later this week.
Blossom was a well-known figure on the cabaret circuit of New York, Paris and London in the Sixties, and Kylie has often cited her as an influence.
The star popped along to the BBC Radio 2 studios to record her programme Kylie On Blossom, which will be broadcast on Thursday.
The two singers met shortly before US-born star Blossom died in 2009, and Kylie said of her: "I love Blossom's voice. It's that combination of fragility and strength that seems to be a perfect reflection of her personality".
"She may have been petite but she knew how to look after herself ".
"Her story's fascinating and I hope that the listeners will be as inspired as I was to discover more about her life and her music."
The programme is being broadcast by Radio 2 on Thursday at 10pm
