Cirque du Soleil plans Michael Jackson show

Cirque du Soleil plans Michael Jackson show

In tribute to the late king of pop, acrobatic troupe Cirque du Soleil will put on a live touring show next year celebrating Michael Jackson's music.

It is hoped the tour will be followed by a permanent production in Las Vegas, as well as a special nightclub.

Cirque and the late singer's estate will each own 50 per cent of the projects and share equally in the cost of putting them on.

Michael, who died aged 50 last June, was described as a "huge fan" of the French Canadian performance group.
