Susan Boyle pips Barack Obama to prime time US TV spot

She wowed audiences across the globe with her sensational singing on Britain's Got Talent earlier this year.

And it seems a repeat performance is on the cards for Susan Boyle as she prepares for more television appearances in America.

Using the slot President Obama had hoped to use for a televised press conference regarding the US' private-sector health care system, an interview with the 48-year-old Scot will be shown on Wednesday at 9pm.

The interview - which is being shown as part of the night's America's Got Talent episode - means the President's conference will be shown an hour earlier, with concerns that some commuters may not be home in time to see it.
