Judge halts trial of Prince Charles' former harpist

The trial of the former royal harpist Jemima Phillips has been unexpectedly halted.

After three days of evidence at Gloucester Crown Court, the judge announced that the jurors would be discharged for legal reasons.

No explanation was given for the move.

Jemima, who played at the wedding of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, is on trial for burglary and handling stolen goods alongside her former boyfriend William Davies.

She has been granted bail on the condition that she has no contact with William who has been remanded in custody.

The trial is to resume next month with a new jury.
