When Gary Barlow last performed at the Royal Albert Hall amongst those singing along were The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
It has now been announced that the Take That star will be back at the London venue on Friday, May 11 as the headline act for a huge Olympic fundraising concert.
Gary, whose performance will raise funds for Team GB and Paralympics GB at the exclusive 'Our Greatest Team Rise' event, said:
"I'm absolutely delighted to be involved with the event as it will play such a crucial role in providing our athletes with the best preparation for the London 2012 Games.
"This is the moment for the entire nation to rise up and unite in its support for Our Greatest Team."
Hosting the event will be Davina McCall and John Bishop and there will be additional entertainment from singers Mel C, Alfie Boe and Britain's Got Talent winners, Spellbound.
Organised by the British Olympic Association the event will be a sit down dinner for 1,500 with food prepared by Michelin starred chef Simon Hulstone, Heston Blumenthal's protegee before an extra 1,500 join them for the concert.
