Michael's mum requests allowance for her and children

Lawyers for Michael Jackson's estate have asked a judge to authorise an allowance for the singer's three children.

A petition lodged with LA's Superior Court said the youngsters were "wholly financially dependent" on their father and currently have "no financial resources to provide for their care and support".

His mother Katherine is caring for Paris, Prince Michael I and Prince Michael II, known as Blanket, pending a custody hearing next month.

Attorneys argued that she should also receive funds as she was "financially dependent" on the king of pop and has been living off social security since his death.

The court action came as the Jackson family said police have pieced together every second of the last 12 hours of the tragic star's life.
