Tintin villain Daniel Craig says being a baddie is 'great'

Daniel Craig Bonds with his fans at an appearance in London. 

He sent the crowd wild at the screening of The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.

The 007 star is the voice of the baddie, Ivan Ivanovich Sakharine, in Steven Spielberg's vision of the comic book tale – and he loved every mean-spirited minute of it.

"It was great, because as a bad guy you get all the best lines," he said. 

Despite his liking for evil roles, Daniel was charm itself at the premiere, obliging admirers by taking photos of himself on their cameras. 

Also on the red carpet was Jamie Bell, who takes the title role, and co-stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
