EastEnders actress Lucy Benjamin has become the first person to be voted off I'm A Celebrity….

The 39-year-old – the third contestant to leave the show after Camilla Dallerup and Katie Price – said she was "a bit gutted" to be exiting so early.

But she said it was a "win, win" situation since it meant a return to home comforts and her little girl Bessie, who turned two the day before. 

Top of Lucy's priorities was not a shower – but rather a belated birthday party with her daughter.

"I actually lay on the bed with Bessie and had a great big cuddle even though I was stinky, I kept on my boots my dirty T-shirt," she told GMTV of the reunion.

"It was her birthday on Sunday, so I gave her presents. I was smothering Bess with lots of kisses and cuddles, that was the first thing I did."

Lucy had faced TV chef Gino D'Acampo and former Page Three girl Samantha Fox in the public vote.
