The ongoing dispute between Charlie Sheen and his estranged wife Brooke Mueller has now extended to their parents.

Brooke's stepfather Jon Fiore is claiming that Charlie's mother Janet Templeton sent out a group email condemning his step-daughter.

In the message, he says, Janet insists that she "always knew that Brooke would be the downfall of her son."

Talking to Radaronline, he said Janet's "accusations are misplaced" and that the troubled actor only has himself to blame for his wild behaviour.

"It's a shame that she would blame a family member for her son's demise," he said.

"He is an adult and responsible for himself."
