Silver screen siren Scarlett Johansson's foray into the world of music shows no signs of slowing down.
September marks the release of her second album, Break Up, for which she teamed up with guitarist, and friend from her teens, Pete Yorn.
The idea behind the nine-track record is to document the end of a tempestuous love affair, inspired by Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot's breathless Sixties duets.
"Pete used Gainsbourg and Bardot to explain what he was looking for," explains the 24-year-old beauty. "He wanted a record with a 'he said, she said' feel."
"It was an interesting adventure. I thought of it as a little project between two friends" she adds.
"Pete taught me the songs on his guitar and I just sang. I love the idea about two people singing about a dying relationship."
"Even though the album is called Break Up, it's actually the happiest record I've ever made," says Pete. "Every time Scarlett and I listen to the songs, they put a smile on our faces."
