Sky Sports presenter Andy Gray sacked

Following further revelations surrounding Andy Gray's sexist behaviour, the sports pundit has been axed from his £1.7 million-a-year job with Sky Sports.

Citing "unacceptable and offensive" behaviour, the satellite TV channel made the decision after a video tape emerged showing the 55-year-old making crude suggestions to a female co-presenter.

The video tape is the third example of sexist behaviour in as many days.

His fiancée Rachel Lewis said on Tuesday night: "Andy won't be making a statement this evening. He's wanted to apologise for the last few days, desperately. He was told not to by Sky."
