Catherine Zeta-Jones brings cheer to sick kids

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones met patients and staff at the Children's Hospital for Wales alongside husband Michael Douglas on Friday in a bid to boost its fundraising campaign.

The Swansea-born actress looked at ease as she chatted with patients Sean Kelly, 9 (left) and Liam Barker, 13.

She officially opened the building in 2006 and is also a patron of the Noah's Ark Appeal which was set up to raise funds.

"I'll do as much as I can to help. I'm so proud of all the staff and doctors who have worked so hard," said the Chicago star.

"And just walking round the hospital with Michael today, to see the relief and gratitude on the parents' faces as they take care of their little ones, I thank you all for doing such a wonderful job."

The couple, who have been married for almost ten years, donated a five-figure sum to the charity in 2005.
