Just days after receiving international golf ace Tiger Woods in the White House, American President Barack Obama gathered up his clubs and headed for the closest course to practice his swing.
The casually-dressed statesman - he'd picked out a short-sleeved shirt and khaki shorts for the occasion - hit the greens at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. Joining him in a round were golf buddies Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, US Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Mr Obama's personal aide Marvin Nicholson.
The Air Force base course has always been popular with US leaders both for the security it offers and its proximity to the White House, which is just eight miles away
