Katie Price's ex Dwight speaks out about their failed relationship

Footballer Dwight Yorke, the father of Katie Price's seven-year-old Harvey, has spoken in detail for the first time about their relationship.

In his book Born to Score, as reported in a British newspaper, the former Manchester United star recalls his reaction when she told him she was pregnant. 

"My reaction was immediate," he said. "There was no way we could have this baby".

"I told her, 'Our relationship is too unstable. I don't think it's right'."

Describing the glamour model as "vain and infuriating", Dwight goes on to hit out at her "lifestyle" after the birth of their baby.

He writes about her partying, saying "it was the most distressing thing I've ever had to deal with".

The soccer ace also reveals that he wanted to "throttle" Peter Andre – who went on to marry and then divorce her – for his ostentatious displays of affection towards her.

So tense was their relationship Dwight denied the singer's request to adopt Harvey.
