Keira Knightley anti-violence ad ban from TV

Wednesday April 29, 2009

Censors have refused permission to allow an ad campaign against domestic violence featuring Keira Knightley to be broadcast in full on TV.
Advertising approval body Clearcast has reportedly ruled that scenes which show the brunette beauty being thrown to the ground and kicked must be removed before it can be aired.
The commercial, made by charity Women's Aid, has received a million hits on the web and is also shown in cinemas. It shows Atonement star Keira returning home after shooting a film to be confronted by her boyfriend, who accuses her of having an affair then attacks her.
It was due to be shown on the small screen this month.
