When Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow named their first child Apple, their unusual choice caused quite a stir. And while many find it easy to remember such a distinctive name, British pop star Robbie Williams found himself a little monikor-challenged recently.
The former Take That member made his gaff after having invited hit band Coldplay around to his home on Los Angeles for a game of football. Vocalist Chris' actress wife was reportedly unimpressed when the cheeky 35-year-old referred to the couple's four-year-old daughter as another fruit entirely.
"I asked her, 'Hey would Melon like some apple," the Stoke-on-Trent-born songwriter confessed to the Sun.
